The DJI O4 Ground Station is a purpose-built, wide-area transmission node designed to push the operational boundary of enterprise drone fleets in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East. Its 12-antenna array (combining four external OcuSync 4 Pro directional antennas and eight internal directional antennas) delivers exceptional signal penetration and spatial coverage, while automatic multi-band selection intelligently chooses the optimal frequency for the current radio environment.
With a maximum transmission range of 40 km for the DJI Matrice 400 (IC standard) and support for both cloud-connected and fully offline operations, the O4 Ground Station removes the distance and infrastructure barriers that have historically constrained enterprise drone programs. Whether monitoring a sprawling pipeline corridor, coordinating an emergency response, or inspecting remote energy assets, the system keeps drones reliably connected where conventional remote controllers cannot.
Reach Farther: 40 km Range with a 12-Antenna Array
The O4 Ground Station’s RF unit combines four external OcuSync 4 Pro directional antennas with eight internal directional antennas, creating a high-gain array that dramatically improves signal penetration and coverage area compared to single-antenna systems. Automatic multi-band selection continuously evaluates conditions across five frequency bands (902-928 MHz, 1.43-1.44 GHz, 2.4 GHz, 5.15-5.25 GHz, and 5.725-5.85 GHz) and seamlessly switches to the band with the lowest interference load.
The high-output RF unit is paired with an optimized signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) receiver, recovering usable signals even in electromagnetically dense urban environments or industrial sites crowded with competing radio traffic. The result is a link that stays stable at distances and in conditions where conventional enterprise remote controllers break down, reaching up to 40 km with the Matrice 400, or 30 km with other supported aircraft (IC standard).
Two Deployment Modes: Gateway and Relay
Gateway Mode connects the O4 Ground Station directly to DJI FlightHub 2 via Ethernet (PoE), enabling cloud-based mission planning, live video monitoring, and full telemetry without a pilot needing line-of-sight to the aircraft. This mode is designed for fixed infrastructure deployments (mounted on towers, rooftops, or dedicated poles) where continuous internet connectivity is available, and integrates naturally with autonomous DJI Dock 3 programs.
Relay Mode extends reach into areas without network access by chaining the signal from a cloud-connected aircraft out to a second aircraft operating beyond normal transmission range. Relay Mode supports up to a 3 km extension (IC/SRRC) or 1 km (CE), making it well suited for canyon surveys, dense forest operations, or any scenario where terrain blocks a direct link between the ground station and the aircraft.
IP67 + IK07: Built for 24/7 Unattended Operations
The enclosure carries an IP67 ingress protection rating (fully dust-tight and immersion-resistant) and an IK07 impact resistance rating, qualifying it for permanent outdoor installation without shelter. The system operates reliably across an extreme temperature range: down to -40 °C with the Type 4 PSU or -30 °C with the Type 3 PSU, and up to 55 °C in hot-climate environments, purpose-made for the desert heat and dust of Gulf operations as well as high-altitude and cold-region deployments.
A built-in backup LiPo battery (3,250 mAh / 23.4 Wh) provides approximately 45 minutes of Gateway Mode operation or 30 minutes of Relay Mode operation during power interruptions, protecting mission continuity during brief outages. The maintenance-free design eliminates the need for on-site personnel, making it a natural fit for autonomous drone-in-a-box programs using the DJI Dock 3 or similar platforms.

Precision GNSS: From Meter-Level to Centimeter-Level Accuracy
The integrated GNSS receiver supports all major constellations: GPS (L1/L2/L5), BeiDou (B1/B2/B3), Galileo (E1/E5/E6), GLONASS (L1/L2), QZSS, and L-Band correction services. Out of the box, single-point accuracy reaches 1.5 m horizontal and 3.0 m vertical (RMS).
When connected to a Network RTK correction service, positional accuracy improves to 1.0 cm horizontal + 1 ppm and 3.0 cm vertical + 1 ppm, enabling survey-grade performance for precision mapping, infrastructure inspection, and automated stockpile measurement directly from the drone fleet without deploying additional ground control points.
Seamless Integration with the DJI FlightHub 2 Ecosystem
The O4 Ground Station is a native component of the DJI enterprise ecosystem. It connects to FlightHub 2 and FlightHub 2 On-Premises for centralized fleet management, mission scheduling, and live situational awareness, and works alongside the DJI Matrice 400 and DJI Dock 3 for fully autonomous, long-range operations. Developers can extend functionality through the Cloud API and ESDK 2.0, enabling custom integrations with SCADA systems, GIS platforms, and third-party operations centers.
It also supports connection of up to four simultaneous ONVIF or GB/T 28181-compatible IP cameras at 1080p H.264, allowing operators to correlate drone telemetry with fixed ground-camera feeds in a unified FlightHub 2 view. Optional 4G connectivity is available via the DJI Cellular Dongle 2 (sold separately), providing a redundant communications path in locations where Ethernet infrastructure is not available.
